Bruce Capristo, founder of Capristo Salon, started doing hair when he was 19 and owned several salons throughout Pittsburgh during his career. He opened our Shadyside location over 18 years ago. Bruce was known for his work on blockbuster Hollywood films. Carol "Cheech" Capristo, Bruce's wife, is also a hairstylist and Esthetician. She has retired from the chair but still helps run the salon, keeping it a family business. Roman Capristo, Bruce's son, has been with the salon for 15 years and took over as owner when Bruce passed away. Some of our stylists have been here since the salon opened 18 years ago.
